Cool Pictures of the Milky Way taken over Utah's spectacular canyons

Showcasing amazing pictures by photographer Royce Bair of the Milk Way soaring above the canyons of Bryce Canyon National Park, Salt Lake City, Utah. Royce Bair has been lecturing on night photography for 2 decades. Sure, Photoshop was used extensively in these pictures...but to amazing effect.

Bair says, 'My Nightscapes are exposures of the night sky with a landscape feature. All are evening time exposures.' 'Many are taken with special equipment in order expose the night stars without blurring. Some land features are enhanced with light painting.' I have been giving lectures and workshops, internationally, on night photography for two decades.'

Stunningly beautiful images capture the glory of the Milky Way taken with just a simple digital camera

Nasa Reveal Latest Blue Marble Photo

Nasa's amazingly cool pictures of Earth or 'Blue Marble' started in 1972 when Apollo astronauts took photographs of our world from 28,000 miles away. The images that came back looked like a blue marble in space. Since then, the space agency has used the term for spectacular hi-def images of our planet created from satellite imagery and often released once a year. This is the latest photo they have captured using imagery from Nasa's most recently launched Earth-observing satellite, Suomi NPP.

Blue Marble 2012 was taken by a hi-tech instrument aboard NASA's most recently launched Earth-observing satellite - Suomi NPP. This composite image uses a number of passes over the Earth's surface taken on January 4, 2012
